Job Title – CORE Bike Mechanic
Purpose of Job
Help make Carroll University a bike-friendly campus by providing bike repair and maintenance
services for students, staff and faculty.
Represent Carroll University and the Department of Recreational Sports in a positive
manner.
Facilitate the services provided by RecSports in Ganfield Gymnasium, on outdoor fields,
and at other Carroll University spaces including, but not limited to: fitness training,
Group Fitness classes, Intramural Sports, Club Sports, Carroll Outdoor Recreation
Equipment (CORE) programs, and drop-in recreation opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Repair and maintain bicycles within the CORE bicycle fleet.
Repair and maintain bicycles for the Carroll University community.
Maintain and manage the Carroll University Bike Shop.
Encourage biking on campus and educate the community about biking.
Keep equipment and facilities safe and clean.
Properly check out equipment available for daily use.
Attend all mandatory trainings and monthly staff meetings.
Job Qualifications
Basic mechanical ability and strong willingness to develop bike repair skills. Experience
as a Bike Mechanic preferred, or ability to gain knowledge through training programs.
Detail-oriented and able to provide quality customer service.
Willingness to become an approved Carroll University van driver.
Current First Aid, CPR and AED certifications required within 30 days of employment.
