All first-year students are required to complete an Advising & Registration program before the Fall 2026 (FA26) semester begins. Students can choose between an on-campus Advising & Registration or online Advising & Registration session. During this Advising & Registration session (online or on-campus), students will be advised by Academic Advisors on academic requirements and coursework to complete during their first semester at Carroll University.
In-Person Sessions
Students are split into groups for the advising and registration session for a more
individualized experience. While students attend their session, parents and supporters
will learn more about services provided by Carroll to ensure student success. Earlier
dates will fill quickly, and a waitlist will be maintained.
Dates for students entering Fall 2026 are as follows. Morning sessions take place
8:30am-11:30am. Afternoon sessions take place 12:30pm-3:30pm.

Online Session
Online advising and registration is a self-paced option comprised of two steps. The
first step is a Canvas course about academic advising, registration, and curriculum
requirements at Carroll University. This will take about 45 minutes in total to complete,
culminating with a final quiz. The second step requires the students to register for
Fall 2026 (FA26) courses in Self Service in the my.carrollu.edu portal.
Online registration will open Monday, May 4, 2026. On this day you will receive an
email from CU Central - Advising with information needed to complete registration.
Completion of a learning module is required prior to registering for classes.
Academic Advisors will be available to all students beginning Monday, June 8, 2026
for virtual meetings via Microsoft TEAMS. Students will be able to schedule a meeting
Monday-Friday, 9-4 p.m. CST. These are not mandatory meetings but rather available
for students who have additional questions/concerns that would be better addressed
through a conversation.
