Students investigated the culture and science of food and agriculture in Italy, France and the United Kingdom. Highlights included visiting country farms and meeting local farmers to learn how food is sourced. They also toured production facilities to learn more about how it’s processed, including cheese, ham, pasta, nuts and chocolates. In addition, the group explored the international city of Geneva, Switzerland, with a focus on science and culture. This included a visit to CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, where physicists and engineers are probing the fundamental structure of the universe.
