Financial Aid

Financial aid for Carroll graduate students is available primarily in the form of loans. Students who complete the FAFSA may be eligible for Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans of up to $20,500 per year. For the 2025-26 academic year, the interest rate for Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans is 7.94%, with an origination fee of 1.057%.

NEW for 2026-27
Annual loan amounts will be adjusted based upon student’s actual enrollment for the academic year. Students enrolled/completing less than 12 credits for the academic year may have their loan amount reduced.

Graduate PLUS Loans, if meeting legacy provision, and Private loans, are additional loan options students may utilize if they need additional funds. See our loan page for more information.

Loan Disbursements

Loans will be divided equally to receive disbursements of one-third in the summer, fall and spring terms.
