Exercise Physiology Lab Equipment
Carroll University's Master of Science in Exercise Physiology program with a clinical emphasis provides extensive hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment to prepare you for success in cancer and chronic disease rehabilitation settings.

COSMED QUARK CPET METABOLIC CART
Used to assess the maximal aerobic capacity (VO2 max) of special populations. Students will use this equipment in labs and during their practical experiences.

LANGE SKINFOLD CALIPER
Used by students to test and monitor the body composition of chronic diseased individuals.

INBODY 770 BODY COMPOSITION DEVICE (DSM-BIA)
Direct segmental measurement bioelectrical impedance analysis, used to test and monitor muscle, fat, visceral, and water content of chronic diseased individuals.

SPHYGMOMANOMETER AND STETHOSCOPE
Used to assess systolic and diastolic blood pressure, during rest and exercise.

PULSE OXIMETER
Used to obtain oxygen saturation during student’s practical experiences working with special populations.

PUSH STADIOMETER
Uses ultrasounds to obtain height.

GULICK TAPE MEASURE
A fiberglass no-stretch, retractable tape with both Metric and English gradations to assess fluid and lean tissue changes.

HANDHELD BIA
Bioelectrical impedance analysis for quick measurement of body fat percentage.

POLAR HEART RATE MONITOR AND CHEST STRAP TELEMETRY
Used to obtain heart rate during rest and exercise.
