Accreditation
Why Accreditation Matters at Carroll University
When you choose Carroll University, you're choosing a degree that's recognized by employers, by graduate schools, and by the professional licensing boards that matter most in your field.
Carroll is institutionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), one of the nation's most respected accrediting bodies. This accreditation confirms that Carroll meets rigorous, independently-verified standards for academic quality, faculty expertise, and student success. It's also what makes your Carroll credits transferable, your degree valued by employers, and your federal financial aid possible.
Many of Carroll's individual programs, such as athletic training, nursing, education, and music, also hold additional specialized accreditation from the professional organizations that set the standard in those fields. That means if you're pursuing a career that requires licensure, like nursing or teaching, your Carroll degree is built to get you there, with a curriculum shaped by the same experts who set the bar for the profession.
