Biography

Dr. Jean Marie Pyzyk holds a Ph.D. in Adult, Continuing, and Higher Education Leadership, and a Master of Science in Administrative Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also earned her master’s degree in adult and continuing education and secondary DPI teaching licenses from Carroll University. Last, Dr. Pyzyk has a Bachelor of Science degree in speech communication from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Currently, Dr. Pyzyk works full-time as a business development solutions advisor with FedEx Ground Corporation. In addition, she teaches both undergraduate and graduate students at Carroll University as an adjunct instructor.

Dr. Pyzyk (retired) served as a medic from 1984 (Airman Basic) until 1991 (Staff Sergeant), before accepting an officer commission as a Medical Service Corps Officer with the 440th Airlift Wing, Air Force Reserve. She retired with the rank of Major in 2008. In 1991, she deployed in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm, and in 2004, Operation Iraqi Freedom. During her military career, Dr. Pyzyk also worked full-time as a high school English and speech teacher, and later as a school administrator.  

Dr. Pyzyk recognizes she could never have successfully balanced her full-time civilian jobs, U.S. Air Force Reserve career and college courses without the love and unconditional support of Roger, her husband of 25 years, and her amazing community of family, extended family and lifelong friends. Her core values are God, family and country. Service Before Self.
