Carroll University is pleased to announce that it has received a generous $10,000 grant from Generac and the Generac Foundation. Generac Power Systems, headquartered in Waukesha, is a renowned leader in innovative power solutions. This grant will be instrumental in supporting hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programs for youth in the community, particularly Carroll’s aviation science and drone technologies summer camps in 2024.

Generac's contribution to Carroll demonstrates its dedication to strengthening communities and making a meaningful impact where its employees live and work. By supporting educational opportunities, particularly in the areas of STEM, Generac strives to inspire and empower youth, laying the foundation for a brighter future.

“Drones are a newer technology that young people are interested in exploring, and the Generac Foundation is delighted to help make this camp possible with our sponsorship,” said Kelly Skindzelewski, Generac manager of community programs. “Generac has a long history of engaging with local organizations, including Carroll University. This is one more way we can invest in Waukesha County.”

Carroll University has always been at the forefront of fostering academic development, and this grant reflects its ongoing efforts to create innovative educational experiences. Carroll will utilize the donation to provide supplies and additional staff and make the camps accessible to underserved youth.

“We are thrilled to receive support from an incredibly successful and well-respected organization here in Waukesha,” said Carroll Director of Corporate Engagement, John Gnadinger. “Generac has always proven to value the power of education and community, and we take pride in collaborating with them to serve others and prepare kids for the future.”

The collaboration between Carroll University and Generac highlights the shared commitment to promoting the importance of STEM education in today's increasingly tech-driven world and to meet the demands of the future job market.

The Generac Foundation grant will help provide supplies, cover staffing needs and make the summer camps accessible for underserved youth. Through its donations, partnerships and community engagement initiatives, Generac and the Generac Foundation continues to support organizations and institutions that share its vision of empowering individuals and fostering positive change.

Carroll University is grateful to Generac and excited to use this contribution to further make significant differences in the lives of current and future students, enabling them to pursue their educational goals and aspirations.
