Cap & Gown Pick Up
Senior Sendoff Cap & Gown Pickup takes place April 15, 2025 from 4 - 7 p.m. in Stackner Ballroom.
All graduating students are welcome to attend Senior Sendoff Cap & Gown Pickup! Come kick off the start to commencement and senior celebrations. Stay for a toast with members of the Alumni Council at both 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. Cake and pizza will also be served. Representatives from university offices such as Jostens, IDE, Student Activities/Senior Week, Financial Aid, Career Services and Institutional Advancement and Alumni Engagement will be present. Stop by any of the department tables to learn more about your pre and post commencement needs.
IMPORTANT, PLEASE NOTE: WITH OUR NEW CUSTOM GRADUATION PACKAGE AND COLOR FROM JOSTENS, STUDENTS WILL NOT BE APPROVED TO BORROW ANY CAP OR GOWN IN 2025.
Commencement Attire
All candidates who participate in the commencement exercise must wear the university-approved academic attire. University-approved caps, gowns, tassels and hoods must be purchased through Jostens. Undergraduate regalia consists of a cap, tassel, custom stole and gown. Cords may be worn only by graduates achieving Latin Honors and will be handed out to qualifying students on the morning of Commencement at check-in. Masters and Doctoral degree candidate regalia consists of cap, tassel, master's or doctoral gown*, and program degree hood. All students are welcome and encouraged to decorate their graduation caps to show their individuality and uniqueness, and to celebrate their time here at Carroll.
*Please note that master's and doctoral gowns are denoted by their unique sleeve shape which are each different than those of the undergraduate gowns.
Cap and Gown Purchase
Graduating students may purchase their cap & gown packages online through our vendor, Jostens. Packages for undergraduate students will be shipped to campus. Graduate student packages will be shipped to their permanent address.
Please make sure that your address on file is up-to-date, and email reg@carrollu.edu if it is not.
Graduation materials must be ordered no later than Monday, March 3, 2025 to guarantee delivery prior to our ceremonies. All students who plan to walk at 2025 graduation must order a cap and gown package in order to participate in our ceremonies. After March 3, students will be able to order packages from the PioShop website; HOWEVER, late orders will incur the following late fees:
