Kevin Norton, Saxophone

Saxophonist Kevin Norton performs contemporary and newly-commissioned pieces for saxophone. Norton earned his DMA in saxophone at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, and has actively premiered several new works for saxophone including Matthew Browne’s “Two Pieces” at the 2011 Navy Band Saxophone Symposium at George Mason University, Carrie Magin’s “Amber Autumn” at the Arizona State conference and works by Ian Dicke and Brandon Nelson. Most recently, he was part of the consortium for Matthew Browne’s saxophone concerto Alcoholic Dissertations, which he first performed in April 2017. Kevin’s debut album, Americano, is currently available for download from CD Baby. Norton will also perform with the Carroll University Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble on Friday, Oct. 12.
