Dual Degree Partnership Agreements

Carroll University’s Applied Physics program has forged partnerships with two local state schools, opening up a unique opportunity for our Pioneers. Now, you can earn an Engineering degree alongside your Applied Physics degree from Carroll, enhancing your academic profile and career prospects.

University of Wisconsin-Platteville (UW-P PEP Program)

The recently established “PEP” program allows Carroll students to earn both a BS in Applied Physics and a BS in Engineering in just five years. The program is also designed for students to live on/around Carroll University’s campus in Waukesha throughout the five-year program. Students take their Physics and introductory Engineering courses in person and on campus with Carroll faculty and supplement those with online courses offered by UW-Platteville.

In addition to Mechanical Engineering, the PEP program also has four different disciplines of Electrical Engineering (Controls, Computer, Communications & Electronics, or Power & Energy) which students may study.

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (3+2)

Our partnership with UW-Milwaukee has been in place for over a decade now and has seen dozens of students complete their education and enter a variety of exciting careers. The 3+2 program also allows students to earn both a BS in Applied Physics and a BS in Engineering in just five years and includes a pathway to earn a Masters in Engineering in the sixth year of study.

Students take their Physics and introductory Engineering courses in person and on campus at Carroll University in the first three years of the program before transferring to UW-Milwaukee to complete their studies. The 3+2 program provides students with a wide range of possible Engineering disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Computer, Industrial and Materials Engineering.
