Biography

Professor Spindt has been a practicing Family Medicine PA for over 25 years in Waukesha, WI. She has also been a volunteer provider at the previously known St. Joseph’s Clinic serving the homeless and uninsured for nearly a decade. St. Joseph’s is now known as the Waukesha Free Clinic at Carroll University. In addition to volunteering as a provider, she serves on the clinic’s Board of Directors. She has a passion for mission medicine. She coordinates missions involving PAs  to South America. Miranda is originally from Chicago and enjoys spending time with her family boating, kayaking, and hiking in the Kettle Moraine area.

  • “2019 PA of the Year” presented by the Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistant Foundation.
  • Community Service Award from La Casa de Esperanza in Waukesha, WI.

Why do you do what you do?

I love our students!  As a preceptor for PA and NP students for nearly two decades, I think it’s important for us more experienced PAs to share our knowledge, prepare them for their future as clinicians and be an advocate for them and the profession as a whole.
