Jen Moon Featured in Two Photographic Exhibitions

Carroll University's Associate Professor of Art, Jen Moon, currently has two exhibitions of her photographic project, Namesake Iowa, on display. One exhibition is in New York and curated by a well-respected academic. Moon is one of six artists featured in the national exhibit called Earth. Clay. Loam: Contemporary Landscape Photography. The exhibition brings together the work of six contemporary photographers whose image making focuses on the landscape. Click here to learn more.   more

Carroll University's B.J. Best Releases a New Chapbook

Carroll University's Assistant Professor of English, B.J. Best, has published a new chapbook with Parallel Press titled, Yes. The description on the website states: "Underneath all the carefully observed the details of life live the larger questions about what it means to be human. B.J. Best's collection is filled with those details, often rendered in heart-stopping imagery or gentle irony." B.J. Best is the author of three books of poetry: But Our Princess Is in Another Castle (Rose Metal Press, 2013), Birds of Wisconsin (New Rivers Press, 2010), and State Sonnets (sunnyoutside, 2009). He has also published three chapbooks with Centennial Press: Drag: Twenty Short Poems about Smoking (2011); Mead Lake, This (2007); and Crap (2005).
