Carroll Listed as a Friendship Institute to MAU

Carroll University is honored to be listed as a Friendship Institute to Musashino Art University (MAU) in Tokyo. Carroll is the only university in the United States with this honor. A representative from an institution of higher education must have visited the art university to be listed as a Friendship Institute. Daniel Becker, assistant professor and director of graphic communications at Carroll University, visited MAU recently. MAU is one of the leading art institutes in Japan, with over 4,500 students and 3,000 correspondence students.   more

Carroll University's Lilly Goren Releases New Book

Lilly Goren, professor of political science and global studies at Carroll University, has released a new book entitled, "Mad Men and Politics: Nostalgia and the Remaking of Modern America." The chapters of the book analyzes the most important dimensions explored on the show, including issues around gender, race, prejudice, the family, generational change, the social movements of the 1960s, our understanding of America's place in the world, and the idea of work in the post-war period.   more

Carroll Receives $10,000 Grant from the PNC Foundation

Carroll University is the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the PNC Foundation. The grant will fund the Project Pioneer Career and Leadership Academy for high school students attending Milwaukee and Waukesha schools. The program is April 18, 25, May 2 and 9 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The students will participate in a series of workshops, field trips and professional development sessions focused on developing their skills and knowledge for success in the 21st century workplace.   more
