After graduation I taught 8 years in Stratford, WI self-contained 5th and 6th grade. I then spent the next 36 years teaching middle school classes in Neillsville, WI. I taught English 7 and then spent most of the time in sixth year teaching Math, English and Social Studies. In 1969, I earned my MS from the University of Wisconsin Madison in Educational Psychology. I have traveled and visiting most of the countries in Europe as well as Russia, Egypt, and China. I have also taken several cruises visiting Alaska, the Caribbean and the islands of the Aegean Sea. I have also visited most of the United States except for the north eastern part of our country which I am scheduled to visit this October.

Family Update
Married? Spouse/Significant Other's Name and occupation? Children? Names/ages?
I was married in 1966 and divorced in 1990. I have one son, Eric now 38 who works for IBM in Rochester, MN. He is married to Rachel who is a second grade teacher in the Rochester school system. They have 2 daughters, Sophie 5 and Macey 2.

What is your most vivid memory from your years at Carroll?
I commuted 15 miles everyday picking up my friend Penny on the way. I remember spending many hours in the library studying while I waited for her classes to be over. I also remember being playing volleyball for the independent women and beating all the other teams. I will always remember the beauty of the campus as we all walked to classes. I also remember Bart Starr speaking to us at convocation and I didn't even know who he was. I never was interested in football until I had a husband and son who were.

Which professors influenced your life?
The professors I remember the most vividly are Dr. Weir, Dr. Ziegler, Dr.Hiatt and Dr. Sinclair. Their classes were interesting and got me to think in new ways. All my professors did a good job in helping me to be a success in my life.
